Larry Levan. legend from the early days of disco and Paradise Garage. Marvellous and essential album comprising of some of his remixes. They certainly don't make them like this anymore! These are pretty much the blueprint for house music and many of these have been sampled over the years, not just by house producers but by hip hop artists such as Public Enemy and many others.

Mixed With Love - The Walter Gibbons Salsoul Anthology
Walter Gibbons was another early pioneer of the disco sound. Like Larry Levan, he used to create remixes specifically for the dancefloor. This collection is his work with Salsoul and is an yet another amazing album to grace this blog!

Innocence Belief (Cooltempo) 1990
Ultra cool soul album from 1990. This samples Pink Floyd throughout and almost comes off as a kind of concept album the way the tracks run into each other. Dark at times and often thoughtful this is an album you need on your cd rack. Check Amazon and you'll see it has 5 stars all the way. Nothing has sounded like this since, brilliant.
